I can’t wait to share with you my top 5 favorite wedding dress designers. Now that you’re engaged you get the joy of trying on wedding dresses! When I got married, our budget was very low so I went thrifting to find my perfect dress. I found a beautiful one, but I missed out on the opportunity to really think through what I wanted to feel and wear on our big day. Wedding dresses truly have the power to make you feel confident and beautiful on your wedding day. Now that I’m a wedding photographer, here’s a few of my favorite wedding dress designers that I would have loved to try on as a bride!

Reem Acra

Classic and Elegant Wedding Dress Designer

I discovered this designer after one of my Fall 2023 brides had this amazing high neck, long sleeve lace wedding dress and it made such a statement. She was absolutely stunning (seen below) and looked so unbelievably elegant. If you are interested in more from this designer, click here.

Danielle Frankel-

Fashion Forward Wedding Dress Designer

Another dress designer I love is Danielle Frankel. This wedding dress designer creates amazing, fashion forward designs for the bride who wants to make a statement with her gown. Monique Lhuillier-

Romantic Wedding Dress Designer

A couple weeks ago I signed up to receive emails from Monique and her brand. Every time I look at the gowns she designs I am in awe. Her dresses are so elegant and romantic. She’s such an icon and I’m in love with her wedding dress designs! Click here to view her designs. I would love to photograph one of her dresses, both the romance and the fashion are a beautiful pair. One of the emails she recently sent had a quote from Reese Witherspoon about how we should choose carefully the outfits we entrust our emotional memories with and that really stuck with me. As a bride, you should definitely take this idea into account when choosing wedding dresses.

Lili Hod

Playful and Elegant Wedding Dress Designer

I recently came across Lili Hod and immediately fell in love with her designs. A local bridal shop is currently hosting a trunk show for her 2024 collection and I am obsessed with all of the new dresses. They are both elegant and would be amazing for a more editorial look, but they are also playful and tap into the playful side of romance. To see what I’m referring to, click here. Lace and satin are the two big fabrics being used right now by many designers. My favorite is lace- it’s such a classic fabric and I’m loving all the new ways it’s being brought into the wedding world. Even though lace has been used for centuries, more bold designs and large floral patterns are making their way into collections and I’m loving it!

Eisen Stein

Fashion Forward, Couture Wedding Dress Designer

The last designer I want to mention is Eisen Stein. The dresses they create are fashion forward and really celebrate each bride’s uniqueness. These are the type of dresses I can see you running through the gardens of France in. They are absolutely stunning and the new collection for 2024 will have you feeling like you are a European princess getting married. You should definitely look at the new collection here.

A trunk show is also great opportunity for you to see more dresses from a certain designer.
